Modesta Alfaro

Modesta was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was born on June 15th, 1945, and dedicated her life to Jehovah in baptism on September 16, 1973.

She was a faithful servant of Jehovah all her life; she enjoyed pioneer life for many years and shared the good news with many.

Alfredo and Modesta were married on November 16, 1969, and they went on to have five sons and eight grandchildren.

Despite the health challenges that Modesta faced, she did not let up on her service to Jehovah and the good news about Jesus. She would preach to nurses at her dialysis center as that was her territory. She continued to attend meetings, assemblies, and memorials in person despite illnesses and challenges.

Modesta passed peacefully on August 23rd, 2024, at the age of 79, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband Alfredo Alfaro Sr.; her son Fred Jr. with his wife Sonia, and their children Abby, Isaiah and Nathan; her son Israel with his wife Eva and their son Israel Jr.; her son Josue with his wife Mari and their daughter Katie; her son Gustavo with his wife Yolanda, her son Jonadab with his wife Fabiola and their children Leanna, Jonas, and Julianna, and her loyal companion Pinguino.

A funeral talk will be given on September 2, 2024, at 10 am at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1501 Rio Rico Rd, Mercedes, TX 78570.
