Noemi R. Sepulveda

WESLACO — Noemi Rico Sepulveda, 80, of Weslaco, Texas, died on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at home surrounded by family. Noemi was born in the city of San Benito in Cameron County, Texas, on November 20, 1933. She was the second daughter born to Luis and Olivia Rico. Noemi and her husband Domingo P. Sepulveda were happily married for 64 years. Noemi was preceded in death by her parents Luis and Olivia Rico; her sisters Olga Merkell and Gloria Aguilar; her brothers Rudy Rico and Lloyd Rico; and her son Rene Sepulveda. Noemi is survived by her husband, Domingo P. Sepulveda; son Noe “Ruben” Sepulveda and his wife Esmeralda Sepulveda; son Dr. Robert Sepulveda, M.D. and his wife Dawn Nehr-Sepulveda; daughter Cynthia Sepulveda; son Eli Sepulveda and his wife Leticia Sepulveda; son Eloy Sepulveda; daughter Sandra Sepulveda; grandsons Anthony Sepulveda, Christopher Paul Cavazos, and Eloy T. Sepulveda; granddaughters Jessika Renee Sepulveda, Lauren Renee Sepulveda, Jennifer Noemi Cavazos, Veronica Lynn Sepulveda, Kristin Robyn Sepulveda, Julie Sepulveda and Brittany Carolyn Sepulveda; and her great-grandchildren Arianna Sepulveda, Teyah Sepulveda and Kai Anthony Sepulveda. The Sepulveda family would like to thank Dr. Gabriel Gonzalez, M.D., Dr. Jose Campo Maldonado, M.D., De Oro Home Health Care, the nursing staff at Knapp Medical Hospital and Dr. Leticia Volpe, M.D., for their incredible care and attention to Noemi throughout her illness. A rosary will be held on August 5, 2014 at 7:00 pm with a viewing from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco, Texas. The funeral mass will be held on August 6, 2014, at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco, Texas, with interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park. Sons Noe “Ruben” Sepulveda, Dr. Robert Sepulveda, M.D., Eloy Sepulveda, Eli Sepulveda, and grandsons Anthony Sepulveda, Christopher Paul Cavazos, and Eloy T. Sepulveda will serve as pallbearers.
