Weslaco: Onesimo Ozuna, 67, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Onesimo was born on September 3, 1953, to Francisco Ozuna and Enedina Perales in Temple, Texas.
Onesimo loved the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, going to the beach, and most hobbies that included sunshine. Onesimo enjoyed playing with his nephews and nieces, cruising around with his family, and telling stories about the past. One of his favorite topics was Vietnam and the war. Onesimo enjoyed a good barbecue, playing scrabble and solving puzzles. He had a sweet tooth and always had a diet coke with him.
Onesimo still read the morning paper and never missed a Sunday football game.
Onesimo is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Enedina Ozuna.
He is survived by his only daughter, Jacqueline Perez (Marcus), his sisters, Cindy Cortez of Donna, Nelda Garcia of Weslaco, and brother, Eduardo Garza of New Braunfels.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18th, 3-6 pm, at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.
