Otilia “Tila” Carmona was born on June 14, 1930, in La Villa, Texas, to her parents Emilio Martinez Huerta and Consuelo Olivarez. She passed away in her home on August 7, 2020, of natural causes. She was 90 years old and was actively involved in her church.
Ms. Carmona was married to Juan Carmona. She dedicated her life to taking care of her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook, crochet, and grow a variety of plants. She liked to make a variety of crafts, which she shared with all of her family.
Ms. Carmona is survived by her sons, Manuel Carmona, Alfredo Pena, Pedro Pena, and Juan Manuel Carmona; her daughters Elizabeth (Nora) Pena, and Santos Pena; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Carmona, her daughter Gloria Pena, and various grandchildren.
Ms. Carmona will be buried at the City of Weslaco cemetery.
