Otilia Raquel Torres

Weslaco- Otilia "Raquel" Torres, 79, passed away on Saturday, January 9th, 2021. Although she never had children of her own, Raquel played both a maternal and caretaker role over the course of her life. She devoted herself to her siblings, her mother, and her sweet little pet dog.

To describe her in a few words, Raquel was a kind, caring soul and a good listener; talking to her made you feel important. She loved reminiscing about past experiences and joking about me (Eddie B Gonzalez) and my brother Manuel, whom she took care of while our mom (Maria Barrientos) worked hard to put food on the table.

God rest her soul. May we keep her in our minds and hearts as an example of the impact her selfless devotion had on those closest to her.
