WESLACO -Pablo Leal, Jr., passed away at his home on Monday, April 1st, 2019. Pablo was born on September 28, 1935, to Pablo Leal Sr. and Esperanza Gonzalez Leal in Mercedes, TX. Pablo Jr. and his family were migrants, and they traveled to Wisconsin every year to work. During his childhood years, spending nearly half of his time in Wisconsin, Pablo learned two things, how to work hard and how to root for the Green Bay Packers. After being honorably discharged, Pablo continued to thrive in agriculture. He worked his way up in the produce business and was a foreman at Lake Delta Produce for over twenty-five years. He also worked for Interstate Produce, Gulf De Bryan, and Riverside Produce. Pablo was highly respected for his strong work ethic and dedication to the produce industry. After retirement, Pablo was not content to sit around. He went to work as a bus driver for Casa del Sol Adult Daycare. Pablo will mostly be remembered by his work ethic, and love of sports, especially the Packer's, but he also loved to have his family by his side. He enjoyed a good barbeque and spending time with friends, children, and grandchildren.
