Weslaco-Pascual Conchas was born on May 17th 1948 in the highland mountain area of La Soledad, Jalisco, Mexico. The town of his youth was nothing more than a village where most families grew crops and raised livestock to make a living. At the age of 16 he enlisted in the military in Mexico where he became active in competitive sports and pistol shooting, eventually winning a national pistol shooting championship.
After he left the military he moved to Valle Hermoso Tamaulipas near the border of Texas. There he met Hortencia, his life long companion. They married and had two children Juan and Maria.
After some time spent in Chicago, he settled with his family in Weslaco where he lived out his life. Hortencia passed away in 2015 and now Pascual also leaves us. He passed away of natural causes. He is survived by his mother Guadalupe Lopez Conchas who still lives in his native La Soledad and by his three children Javier Aguilar, Maria Pequeno and Juan Conchas.
