Weslaco/Progresso Patricia Lynn Gross, 83, passed away on Monday, May 17th. She was born to Richard and Alice Hodgson in Alamo on February 10, 1933. She had a younger brother, Fred Hodgson.
Patricia went to school at PSJA where she graduated from high school. She then went to Houston and attended Lilly Jolley School of Nursing in Houston. She would have a fulfilling career in nursing, working at the TB Hospital in Harlingen for many years. She was a school nurse for Weslaco ISD for 23 years working at several of the schools, including Horton and Roosevelt.
Patricia had many hobbies, including sewing, working in the yard and playing cards. By far, her biggest joy in life, was caring for her loving husband, Paul Gross, who she was married to for 33 years and she remained a widow until her death.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and “Pat” Hodgson, her brother Fred Hodgson and her husband, Paul Gross.
She is survived by her only daughter, Cheryl Barnett, her grandsons, Devlin Paul McDaniel and Daniel Ross McDaniel, and numerous nephews and nieces who lovingly referred to her as “Aunt Patty”.
She will always be remembered as a loving and caring person.
