Patricia White

WESLACO - Patricia Warren White, loving mother and devoted wife, passed away on December 1, 2016. Pat with her late husband, Jack, resided in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas since 1994. Prior to their relocation to Texas, they lived in Newark, DE for over 28 years following Jack's retirement from the Marine Corps. Patricia was born on November 22, 1925 in Rochester, NY, and was the daughter of the late Ruth F. and Carl V. Warren of Sayville, NY. She was a graduate of Middletown High School in Middletown, NY and continued her education at Oberlin College (Ohio). Among her many community activities and affiliations over the years; she was an active member of the United Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and during the years her husband was serving in the Marine Corp, the Officers Wives Clubs. In addition, Patricia was active with the Boy and Girl Scouts, was a member of the New Century Club in Newark, DE. She was also involved with both Garden and Golf Clubs in both Newark, DE and Alamo, TX. More recently, Patricia was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church of McAllen, TX and enjoyed the many activities of the Red Hat Group at the Alamo Country Club (Dames of Wine & Roses), and the "Red Peppers" at John Knox Village in Weslaco. In addition, she was also a member of the EN Chapter of the PEO in Weslaco, TX Patricia is survived by her daughters Mary Lynne of Pineville, NC and Elizabeth Ann of Port Angeles, WA, and her sons James (Deborah) of Brea, CA, Greg (Sheran) of Colerain, NC, Robert (Katherine) of Irvine, CA and William (Linda) of Toms River, New Jersey. Memorial service will be held at John Knox Village in Weslaco, TX on January 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to the John Knox Village Benevolence Fund, 1300 S. Border Ave., Weslaco, TX 78596-7421. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McCaleb Funeral Home, 900 West 4th Street, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
