Prudencio Armendariz

WESLACO - Prudencio Armendariz, 90, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at his residence in Weslaco surrounded by his family. He was born in Kennedy, Texas on April 28th, 1926, to Luis and Atanacia Armendariz. Many will remember Prudencio from his career at Frito Lay where he worked his entire adult life until retirement. He was a very hard worker and instilled this in his children. Prudencio enjoyed reading and watching football. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. Prudencio was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Refugio Armendariz, and his son, Raul Armendariz. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Delia Armendariz, his children, Juan Armendariz of Weslaco, Roel and wife, Gloria Armendariz of Weslaco, Rodolfo Armendariz of Austin, Lisa and husband, Roberto Matamoros of Weslaco, his grandchildren, David, Rachel, Cory and Kary Armendariz, and Isabela, Lourdes, and Katarina Matamoros, and one great grandchild, Brandon Michael Armendariz. Prudencio will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his Lord and Savior.
