Weslaco- Ramiro Peralez Sr., 73, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 9th, 2017. Ramiro was born on June 13th, 1944. He was raised by his grandparents, Alfredo Sr. and Trinidad Peralez and their children, Adam, Roberto, Faustino, Noe, Alfredo, Irma, and Nina. Ramiro grew up in Weslaco, where he met his future wife, Maricela Armendariz. They raised four children together. They raised their children in Weslaco and Sanger, California. Ramiro worked in California and the kids spent a lot of time there. They moved back to Weslaco when the kids were still young and he worked at Texsun for five years, Mid-Valley Chemicals for ten years, and finally, at Weslaco ISD as a bus driver for the last ten years of his life. Ramiro's favorite past time was fishing. He loved to take the kids to the Pineflat Dam in California. They also went fishing at South Padre Island whenever they had a chance. Ramiro was a sports fan and loved football. He loved to barbeque and he was a great cook. He used to boast about how he introduced fajitas to Sanger, California. He was the chef in the house. He also loved to work in the yard. Ramiro is preceded in death by his daughter, Michele, grandparents, Alfredo Sr and Trinidad Peralez, and his brothers, Roberto Perales and Faustino Perales. He is survived by his wife, Maricela Armendariz, mom, Benita Peralez Alexiou of Weslaco, his siblings he was raised with, Adan Perales of Weslaco, Noe Perales of Fresno, California, Alfred Perales (Sylvia) of Indiana, Irma Rios of Soledad, California, Nina Perales of Corpus Christi, his sister in laws, Estella Perales and Sylvia Perales of Weslaco,his biological siblings, Nina Perales, Naomi Kim Lancaster, Minu Rodeo, Ruth Garcia, David Aguillar, Elizabeth Beiseigal, Pete Alexiou, and Hariklia Sotello, his his children, Ramiro Peralez Jr. (Elvira), Russell Peralez (Celina), and Marlina Peralez all of Weslaco, his grandchildren, Moriah Peralez, Melanie Peralez, Anthony Peralez, Mallory Peralez,, Jobe Peralez, Kyden Peralez, Charlie Jimenez, and Kayla Arrevalo all from Weslaco. He will always be remembered as a fun and loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting financial contributions to assist with this sudden and tragic loss. Visitation will be held at McCaleb Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 9am-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10am, at McCaleb Funeral Home chapel. Serving as pallbearers will be Russell, Ramiro, Anthony Peralez, Tony Sanchez, Abel Sanchez and Steven Garcia, honorary pallbearer Marlina Peralez.
