Raymond Allen Whichard

Raymond Allen Whichard passed away on January 13, 2025. Ray was born on January 25, 1931. He was the last remaining of his 7 siblings who preceded him in death, as well as his parents, Thomas Joshua Whichard and Hattie Isabel Brinkley Whichard. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War, later having a life long career with Texaco Company. He approached his career with skill, passion, and did the same with his hobbies. He enjoyed playing golf, playing bridge, gambling, fishing, internationally traveling and taking cruises. Ray had a witty sense of humor and cared deeply for family and friends, spending his senior years at John Knox Village in Weslaco, Texas. His family appreciated the excellent loving care he received over the past several years in the Health Care unit of John Knox. Memorials may be given to John Knox Village of the Lower Rio Grande Valley in Weslaco, Texas.

A Memorial Service will take place in Thomasville, NC at a later date.
