Mercedes-Reynaldo Menchaca Villarreal Sr. passed away tragically on Saturday, March 14th, 2020. He was born on March 25th, 1965, to Victor and Evangelina Villarreal in Seagraves, Texas. Reynaldo married Alberta Rosales on February 21, 2012.
After high school, Reynaldo earned a BBA and began a career as a heavy machine operator. Reynaldo was a hard worker and dedicated to his family. He worked long hours on cotton gins, spending many weekends and holidays on the gin.
Reynaldo loved fishing, hunting, and watching a great rooster fight. Reynaldo was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed watching most sports.
By far, the most important thing to Reynaldo was his family. He worked very hard to set an excellent example for his children, grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Reynaldo wanted them to grow up to be hard-working men and women who were respectful and successful. This was his life mission.
Reynaldo was very caring and loving. He was the first to lend a helping hand when someone was in need and someone who you could always depend on.
Reynaldo is preceded in death by his father, Victor Villarreal, and his son, Sylvester Villarreal.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta Villarreal, children, Rebecca Villarreal, Reynaldo Villarreal Jr. (Corázon), Margarita Villarreal (Andrés Gayton), and Nancy Rosales (Aurelio Gonzalez+), grandchildren, Jazzlyn Zoe Cortez Villarreal, Damian Rey Cortez Villarreal, Khiondre Xylen Hernandez, Zya Andrea Love Gayton, Yatziri Terey Villarreal, Axel Villarreal, and Azazel Aaron Andres, siblings, Marissa, Rafael, Rosa Maria, Rodolfo, and Victor Villarreal Jr.
Visitation will be Thursday, 9 am-9 pm at McCaleb Funeral Home, Rosary at 7 pm. Chapel Service will be held on Friday, March 20th, at 10 am, at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco with burial t follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
