Richard Ortega

Weslaco - Richard Ortega passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 7th, 2014 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. Richard was born on September 4, 1955 in San Benito, TX to Robert Sr and Alicia. He was loved by many including his brothers and sisters: Grace Ortega Hebert (Louis), Robert Ortega Jr. (Perla), Norma Ortega, Laura Rizo (Joe), Arnold Ortega (Yolanda), Homer Ortega (Mandy) and Danny Ortega (Letty), but most importantly his loving wife, Victoria and their beautiful daughter, Elizabeth. He also left behind numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Alicia and his brother, Eddie Ortega.
Richard will be fondly remembered as a loving father, husband, brother and uncle, but also, for his love of cars, especially Mustangs, as well as his love of motorcycles.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 5pm-9pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco with a Rosary at 7pm. Funeral mass will be on Thursday, December 11, 2014, 10:00am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco. Arrangements are under the direction of McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.
