Rodolfo Mendoza

WESLACO — Rodolfo M. Mendoza, 91, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend entered into eternal life on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 at Weslaco Nursing and Rehabilation Center in Weslaco, Texas .
Mr. Mendoza was born December 22, 1922 in San Sabas, Tx. to Genoveva Munoz and Francisco Mendoza. He was raised by Luciano and Virgiana Hernandez of Rio Grande City, Texas. He resided in Weslaco, Texas.
He was a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather. Rodolfo was deeply loved and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his brother Ignacio “Nacho” Mendoza of Rio Grande City, Texas and his children Ester Alejandro of Weslaco, Tx ( Miguel Alejandro), Frank Mendoza of Weslaco,Tx ( Oralia Mendoza), Rodolfo "Rudy" Mendoza of Weslaco,Tx ( Mary Mendoza) ,Estella Mendoza of Weslaco,Tx , Ruben Mendoza of Mcallen, Tx ( Martha Mendoza), Sylvia Cirilo of Apopka, Fl. , Gloria Hernandez of Edinburg, Tx ( Mario Hernandez) and Victor Mendoza of Weslaco,Tx ( Olga Mendoza) .; 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren all whom will treasure his memories eternally.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Valentina Mendoza; Daughter Olga Sanchez and siblings Miguel Mendoza (California), Genoveva Mendoza (San Sabas, Tx) and Domingo Mendoza ( Lubbock,Tx). Visitation and viewing will take place today Monday January 26 ,2014 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at McCaleb Funeral Home chapel . Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 10.00 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. McCaleb Funeral Home of Weslaco is in charge of arrangements.
