Weslaco: Rosalio “Pollito” Lugo Mendoza, 20, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023. Pollito was the youngest of three brothers born on March 6th, 2003, to Pedro Lugo and Brenda Esmeralda Mendoza in Ciudad, Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Pollito learned the skill of welding from his dad. He started a career in welding as a teenager. Pollito enjoyed his chosen profession and always tried to learn and perfect his skills.
When Pollito wasn’t working, he had a lot of hobbies. He was playful and loved a good time. Pollito was also a great soccer and baseball player. In addition, he enjoyed fishing, the beach, and playing video games with friends.
Pollito was funny, clever, and hardworking. He had a huge heart and was a caring person.
Rosalio is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jose Mendoza. His survived by his paternal grandparents, Rosalio and Maria de Jesus Garcia Lugo; maternal grandmother, Laura Mata; parents, Pedro and Brenda Lugo; wife, Daniela Mata brothers, Jose Lugo (Evelyn Garcia) and Pedro Lugo (Jocelyn); nephews, Jose, Joaquin Guadalupe, and Jairho Lugo.
Visitation will be Thursday, 10 am-9 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm. The funeral service will be Friday, March 31st, at 10 am at McCaleb Funeral Home, and burial will be at Sacred Park Cemetery.
