Severa Alicia Torres

WESLACO - SEVERA ALICIA TORRES 88, passed away on Thursday January 5, 2017 at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg TX. She was born August 8, 1928 to Hilario Martinez and Ignacia Leija. She was the strongest and wisest woman until her last breath. Alicia lived for her family. Alicia is preceded in death by her husband Jesus Torres Sr. Alicia is survived by her children Alicia Margarita Valdez (Jose Luis Valdez), Jesus Torres (Maria De La Luz Torres),Rafael Torres (Maria Del Rosario Torres), Cleofas "Tito" Torres (Nena Juarez), daughter Maria Isabel Torres. Alicia is also survived by her sister Juanita Martinez Leija, Pueblo Nuevo, Nuevo Leon and brother Jorge Martinez from San Antonio, TX. Alicia also had 12 grand children and 22 great grand children. Viewing will be held at McCaleb Funeral Home Sunday from 4PM - 9PM with a rosary being recited at 7PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday January 9, 2017 at 10AM at San Martin de Porres in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers are Eric Torres, Chris Torres, Ralph Torres Jr., Roland Torres, Rick Peña and David Nieto.
